According to Toronto police, a 36 year old woman was on a train travelling southbound as it approached Wellesley station on the morning of Monday, January 11th.
She was approached by a man who sat down beside her, it is then that the alleged sexual assault took place.
Following an appeal for the public’s help in tracking down the suspect, police received a call on Thursday, January 29th, from someone who had been travelling on the subway when he recognized the man police were seeking to have identified.
Jesus Ramon Jorge Saavedra was subsequently arrested and charged with sexual assault.
