TORONTO - A 17-year-old boy is reportedly the victim of the city's 11th murder of the year.
The fatal stabbing happened around 7 p.m. Wednesday outside a highrise located at 551 The West Mall, near Rathburn Rd.
When officers arrived at the rear of the residential building, they
found a male suffering from stab wounds. Police said video surveillance
showed four males climbing a fence, with two in pursuit of the others.
The pursuers caught up to the teen and he was stabbed. His companion
fled, and his identity is not known, police said.
Family members identified the victim to CP24 as Saed Kaylie.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators urged anyone with information to call 416-808-2246 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
Saed is dearly missed. I hope his companion or the person who witnessed the attack and participated in the chase will show belated mercy and grace and talk to the police, even if it's anonymously. Saed had a young sister in grade school. Her classmates are struggling to understand the cruel brutality of what has happened to their close friend. Little children need justice. Please do what's right.
