John Robert Kennedy 20, and James Neff 34, Charged In Five Greater Toronto Area Bank Robberies

Two Mississauga men have been arrested and charged following a spate of bank robberies in the GTA in recent weeks.

Five robberies in total were allegedly carried out by the men between December 21st, 2015 and February 4th, 2016, two in Toronto’s west end, two in Peel Region and one in Halton Region.

According to police, during each of the robberies, one of the men would enter the bank wearing a disguise and armed with a knife, where he would vault the service counter and demand money.

Upon obtaining the cash, he would then flee the bank branch to be driven away from the scene by the other man who would be waiting in a vehicle outside.

20 year old John Robert Kennedy now faces charges including four counts of robbery, armed robbery, and possession of property obtained by crime, while 34 year old James Neff is charged with five counts of robbery.

The arrests come following a joint investigation between TPS Hold Up, Peel Regional Police’s Central Robbery Bureau and Halton Regional Police Service’s Robbery Unit.
