Nick Bagherzadeh Arrested In Fatal Vaughan Stabbing of Gianluca Cellucci 22, of Richmond Hill

Police investigating a double stabbing in the city of Vaughan over the weekend, which left one person dead, have now made an arrest.

York Regional Police say that they were called to a parking lot area of 120 Interchange Way following reports of a stabbing at approximately 3.a.m on Sunday February 7th.

They have since determined that an altercation occurred between two groups of people in the parking lot shortly before 3 a.m. during which two men were stabbed.

22 year old Gianluca Cellucci of Richmond Hill was pronounced dead at the scene, while a second victim, a 22 year old man from the Town of Aurora was taken to hospital with serious injuries and is expected to survive.

A warrant was subsequently issued for the arrest of Nick Bagherzadeh (pictured) of Richmond Hill, and on Monday afternoon, police confirmed that Bagherzadeh had been arrested without incident in the city of Toronto.

He is now facing a charge of second degree murder and a further charge of attempted murder.
