Toronto Police call on ETF after Hotel shooting near the DVP and Eglinton

The search for a gunman brought out Toronto’s Emergency Task Force on Monday.

Police taking no chances after a shooting at the Don Valley Hotel and Suites near the DVP and Eglinton.

The call came into authorities just before 4:30pm, upon arrival one man with serious injuries needed to be rushed hospital.

Police closed off the entire hotel, and called for the ETF when they were initially unable to find the gunman.

The Emergency Task Force is a 24 hour tactical unit called upon when mandated to deal with high risk situations like hostage takings, high risk arrests and protection details.
