A 15-year-old boy has been taken to hospital in serious condition after being found with gunshot wounds at a church fundraiser in Downsview.
Toronto Paramedics said they were called to the scene at 4:35 p.m. at the rear of a church near Jane St. and Heathrow Dr. The boy was found with a gunshot wound in one of his limbs and taken to a trauma centre in serious, but not life-threatening condition.
Toronto Police said the church was hosting a fundraising carnival. They said they believe the shooting took place somewhere else but don’t know where as of yet.
