Video of suspect released in deadly Adelaide St apartment building shooting Toronto
Toronto Police have such a quality image of the suspect wanted in the city’s 63rd homicide of the year, they are confident someone will be able to identify him.
‘I’m happy we have such good surveillance of the suspect,” Det. Robert Choe said Friday at the crime scene.
“The images are out there. Somebody knows this guy and we are looking for help to identify him. I hope it won’t take long.”
On Aug. 19 around 2 a.m., police were called to the fourth-floor of an apartment building on Adelaide St. E., near Parliament St.m where they found Jessie Graham-Richter, 22, of Toronto, shot to death.
Graham-Richter wasn’t a resident of the building, but police say this was a targeted shooting.
Choe wouldn’t comment if Graham-Ritcher was known to police or to the suspect.
Jesse Graham-Richter, 22, of Toronto, was shot dead August 19, 2018 in an Adelaide St. E. apartment building. He is the city’s 63rd homicide of the year. The suspect is described as black with light skin, under 5-foot-10, with a medium build and twisted braided black hair. He was wearing a black jacket and dark pants.
“We have reason to believe he is familiar with the Bloor and Yonge (Sts.) area and the Dundas and Parliament (Sts.) area.,” Choe said.
“Obviously, during the investigation, something brought us to these two areas.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 416-808-7400 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS.
