One young man is dead and another wounded in a shooting in a busy Leaside park Tuesday night.
Toronto Police responded to calls of multiple gunshots around 7:30 p.m. near Vanderhoof Ave. and Research Rd. Police say they received reports of “people running and screaming and vehicles fleeing.”
Emergency crews located two victims suffering gunshot wounds.
One was suffering life-threatening injuries and rushed to Sunnybrook via emergency run but died.
A second victim was located with serious injuries and is in hospital.
Images from the scene showed a minivan with its windows shot out.
Anybody with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
