On Sunday just before 3 a.m., police responded to a residence in the area of Dennison St. and Markham Rd. for a report that a man known to the homeowners was breaking into the house.
The man allegedly assaulted three people and then fled when he learned that police had been called.
Amal Suresh Mamoottil, 21, of no fixed address is wanted for break and enter, three counts of assault, two counts of extortion, two counts of uttering threats, and five counts of fail to comply with recognizance.
Officers say the suspect allegedly contacted the victims on Saturday, threatened them
and demanded money.
