Toronto Police are thanking the public for help arresting a man wanted in two gunpoint robberies in the Toronto area.
On May 29, police allege a man found and contacted a sex-trade worker through an online ad. He met with her on several occasions and paid for her services, according to police.
During their last meeting, cops allege the man pulled a firearm and robbed the 18-year-old of cash before fleeing.
There were no injuries.
On May 31, cops allege the same man went to a hotel to meet with sex-trade workers who knew him as a client.
The man pulled out a firearm and robbed two women — ages 19 and 20 — of cash, police say. No one was injured.
On Wednesday, Benhur Wolday, 27, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, and two counts of robbery with a firearm.
