A 22-year-old man was gunned down at a North York townhouse complex Wednesday night.
Toronto Police say officers responded to reports of a shooting at 11 Field Sparroway — near Leslie St. and Finch Ave. E. — just after 8 p.m.
A man was located suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead, Sgt. Jim Gotell told reporters at the scene.
He said the shooting occurred in the parking lot at the complex.
Two suspects, who were seen fleeing the area westbound on foot, are sought. But no descriptions were immediately available.
Officers canvassed area residents looking for witnesses Wednesday night and police dogs were brought in to search for the killers, but no arrests were made.
The dead man, whose name was not released, is the city’s 67th homicide victim of the year. Of the murders so far this year, 40 have been killed by guns.
Anyone with information regarding this deadly shooting is urged to call the Homicide Unit at 416-808-7400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
