Sepehr Yeganehfathollah, 25, is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for the murder of Nader Fadael, 45, in North York on Sept. 19, 2018

A 25-year-old man is now sought for a deadly stabbing that occurred in North York two weeks ago.

Toronto Police say Sepehr Yeganehfathollah, of Toronto, is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for first-degree murder.

“The individual was identified through extensive video canvass and witness participation,” Homicide Det.-Sgt. Mike Patterson said Tuesday.

Nadar Fadael was found fatally injured at the corner of Yonge St. and Wedgewood Dr., south of Steeles Ave., just after 8 p.m. on Sept. 19.

At the time, witnesses reportedly saw a machete on the ground next to the injured man.

The 45-year-old died on the way to hospital becoming the city’s 79th murder victim of the year.

The suspect, Yeganehfathollah, is described as 5-foot-8, with a medium build and a mole on his left check. His hair is short on the sides and long on top, described as a fade-style cut, and he has a short beard.

He is known to work as a hair stylist.

Police consider the suspect to be “armed and dangerous” and say he is aware he is wanted.

“The Canada-wide warrant is issued as we believe he may be in hiding and being harboured,” Patterson said. “These individuals that may be helping him will be investigated and possibly charged with accessory after the fact to murder.”

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of  Yeganehfathollah is urged to call Homicide detectives at 416-808-7400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
