Alfredo Patriarca, 42, Was Shot to Death and Found in the Garage of a Home near Princess Margaret Blvd. and The Kingsway on Jan. 20, 2016

Neighbours are shaken after learning a married father of two was found shot to death in the garage of a home in their normally quiet community Wednesday night.

Police discovered the slain man while responding to a shooting call at the corner of The Kingsway and Princess Margaret Blvd., southeast of Kipling and Eglinton Aves., just after 6:20 p.m.

“It’s shocking,” said John Bozios, who lives nearby with his wife and kids.

“You don’t hear about stuff like that in this area. It’s a good area to live in.”

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

He’s since been identified as 42-year-old Alfredo Patriarca, also known as Freddie, Det.-Sgt. Joyce Schertzer confirmed.

No arrests have been made and few details have been released in the city’s third murder of the year.
