Male stabbed at Toronto's Annex Halloween party dies

A person stabbed during a Halloween party in the Annex has died, Toronto police say.

Just before midnight on Thursday, police were called about a stabbing at a fraternity house in the area of Madison Avenue and Bloor Street West, just north of the University of Toronto’s downtown campus.

They found five people injured, including one in life-threatening condition. One of the victims made his own way to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead on Saturday.

No further information will be released until next of kin has been notified, Const. David Hopkinson said.

The Toronto police homicide unit is investigating.

Two people were arrested in connection with the incident.

Jacob Alves, 19, of no fixed address, and a 15-year-old girl from Richmond Hill were each charged with three counts of aggravated assault, three counts of assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes and attempted murder.
