Cops are being tight-lipped on the downtown murder of a former teacher.
Clark Sissons, 67, whose body was discovered in an alley near Queen and Saulter Sts. Friday morning went down as the city’s 84th murder of the year.
Cops say Sissons’ body was found behind a branch of the Toronto Public Library.
Sources said the dead man, who had no identification when found, showed obvious signs of trauma, including a swollen face. He was dead at the scene.
It’s believed Sissons was married and lived in the west end.
A website lists a Clark Sisson as a former teacher at Taylor’s College in Malaysia during the 1980s.
A person by that name was also listed as a member of St. Olave’s Anglican Church in the Swansea area of the city.
Authorities say an autopsy was completed, but no cause of death was released. There was no information on suspects.
It isn’t known what Sissons was doing in the neighbourhood at that time of the morning.
