Benhur Wolday, 27, of Toronto arrested after sex workers robbed at gunpoint

Toronto Police are thanking the public for help arresting a man wanted in two gunpoint robberies in the Toronto area.

On May 29, police allege a man found and contacted a sex-trade worker through an online ad. He met with her on several occasions and paid for her services, according to police.

During their last meeting, cops allege the man pulled a firearm and robbed the 18-year-old of cash before fleeing.

There were no injuries.

On May 31, cops allege the same man went to a hotel to meet with sex-trade workers who knew him as a client.

The man pulled out a firearm and robbed two women — ages 19 and 20 — of cash, police say. No one was injured.

On Wednesday, Benhur Wolday, 27, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, and two counts of robbery with a firearm.
