TORONTO - A man was killed when gunshots rang out in a residential neighbourhood in Etobicoke over the dinner-hour Wednesday.
Toronto Police say officers responded to a shooting call at The
Kingsway and Princess Margaret Blvd., southeast of Kipling and Eglinton
Aves., just after 6:20 p.m. and found the fatally wounded man.
“He was pronounced dead at the scene,” Const. Craig Brister said soon
after. Police had sealed off the garage of a home, where blood was
visible on the ground next to a body.
Homicide detectives were en route to the scene to take over the investigation late Wednesday.
The name and age of the man, deemed the city’s third homicide victim of the year, weren’t immediately available.
“We’re not releasing any information about the victim at this point,” Brister said.
